There was once such a person that he thought forwardly and began to plant apples on the ground of Sitou Town in Yangcheng County unprecedentedly, as a result, he planted the Money Tree for the local people; he planted white mulberry and bred silkworm, so that Yangcheng became the “head of Shanxi and top of North China”; he dared to try and innovate boldly, and succeeded in plant cotton experimentally in the highly cold mountain area, thus he was received and praised by Premier Zhou. He was Sun Wenlong, a villager of Guduidi Village in Hebei Town, Yangcheng County, Shanxi Province. He joined in the Chinese Communist Party and joined the People’s Liberation Army in 1949, and actively applied for returning to Yangcheng to support the rural construction in response to the call of the Party in 1957; he had held the positions of the head of the township, the secretary of the commune and the director of the county revolutionary committee successively, and had been reappointed as the secretary of the county Party committees of Yangcheng, Wuxiang and Tunliu consecutively. He died in the line of duty in 1982, and the Sun Wenlong Memorial Hall was built in memory of him.
